Material and production method-Fiona Hall-Divine Comedy

This piece of art is from the Divine comedy series. From what I could find, aluminium from soft drink cans was used against a dark background.
I'm not sure what was used for the background, but she must have used scissors to cut aluminium.
One of the techniques she used is called scoring. Scoring consists of using a scoring tool which is usually blunt to cut a groove in a flat object which can then be snapped, folded or bent, as I think Fiona did.
Other techniques used were shaping and beating. I couldn't find much info on beating and I'm not an artist but I suppose that she used a small type of hammer to shape and smooth the rounded surfaces as required for this piece.
